How to Monitor Your Success on Social Media

If you’ve been using social media for a while now, running advertisements and campaigns, you know how incredibly helpful it is to know that all that hard work is paying off.  Whether you’re spending lots of time and often lots of money, you should always monitor your success on social media.

Social media

It’s important to note that now everything you post on social media is going to generate the success you want, it takes time and understanding to truly succeed on social media. Below are a few ways to keep tabs on your social media success.

Audience growth

It’s very difficult to gain lots of followers right off back if you’re a new business, or new to social media. However, monitoring your follower growth is an effective way to see how many people are interested in your business. If your number is constantly increasing, you’re doing something right, and if it’s not something in your content marketing needs to be fixed. Seeing the numbers go up tells you that you are on the right track and people like what you are putting out there.

Engagement

Once you know what your audience wants to see, creating content for them will get the best results. The best way to know if your audience likes your content is through engagement, which includes, likes, shares, and comments. The more likes and shares a post gets, the more you know to create more content like that.

To get people to trust your brand you must show that you are personable, replying to comments and engaging with the audience is the best way to do so.

Analytics

Sure, you can track your success through follower growth and engagement, however, analytics gives you even more insight. Each social media has its own form of analytics and tracking that will help you know exactly who your target audience is. It also gives you information on organic and paid reach.

Analytics shows you the demographics of your audience, with this information you can target ads and campaigns for that audience.  Organic traffic/ reach refers to viewers you get from free content, and paid traffic refers to the ones you get through campaigns and ads. Keeping track of this information is good to know when investing money into social media.

Overall, social media can be a great tool for growing your business and reaching larger audiences, it also takes lots of time, patience, and often money. Monitoring the success of social media posts and campaigns will prove to be extremely beneficial.
